Advice to the self employed regarding the Coronavirus Income Support Scheme:
Recent updates from the government are that to claim for the grant you must have your own Government Gateway online account - agents cannot claim the grant on your behalf. We recommend completing the online eligibility checker, you will need your UTR and NI number. This will tell you if you are eligible and the date you can make the claim. It includes a link to create a Government Gateway account if you do not have one.

Are you compliant with MTD?
Making Tax Digital for VAT is the recently implemented HMRC scheme which came into place in April 2019.
Businesses with turnover above the VAT threshold of 85,000 should have registered for MTD before 5th April 2019.
This scheme is to phase out the uploading of VAT returns through HMRC's own portal, forcing the use of alternative software for your VAT submissions.
